Live a unique experience in the heart of the Auvergne nature in the gîte "Les Vergnes", an authentic mansion of 200 m² dating from 1870. Completely renovated with care, the building perfectly combines the cachet of the old and modern comforts.
🧱 Exceptional summer comfort: Thanks to its traditional stone walls one meter thick, the house remains a real haven of natural freshness, remarkable and very appreciable in the heart of summer after a day of hiking. In winter, you will love to gather around a good fire crackling in its monumental fireplace.
🏡 A unique property in the middle of nature
Nestled at an altitude of 930 m, between the Artense plateau (the "Scandinavia of Auvergne") and the Sancy mountains, the cottage is located in the heart of a vast property of 60 hectares. Entirely isolated in the middle of the meadows, with no neighbors less than 700 meters away, it guarantees absolute calm. You may be lucky enough to observe foxes, deer, roe deer or deer when you wake up.

The house offers generous volumes, perfect for large family gatherings or groups of friends:
XXL living room: A large warm living / dining room with its monumental stone fireplace for memorable evenings.
Relaxation Area: A separate cosy living room with flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.
Chef's kitchen: A fully equipped kitchen for the big tribes (2 ovens, microwave, 2 fridge-freezers, dishwasher, coffee makers, and all the necessary dishes).
5 Spacious Bedrooms: 3 bedrooms with 1 double bed + 2 family rooms (each with 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed).
Sanitary facilities: 2 bathrooms (walk-in showers and 1 bath), 2 separate toilets.
🌲 Les Extérieurs
Enjoy a large private plot of land with trees offering a breathtaking and panoramic view of the Sancy and the resort of Chastreix-Sancy. A pleasant veranda, a furnished terrace, a barbecue for grilling and a large private parking lot complete the set.
(Note: The property is also home to our second cottage "Le Fournil" for 2 to 4 people, 50 meters away, configured to preserve the total privacy of everyone).

Are there more of you? We offer you to rent our second gîte, "Le Fournil" (capacity 4 people), located 50 metres away on the property. It ideally combines the charm of stone and wood with all the independent comforts (private terrace, kitchen, bathroom, Wi-Fi).
