About this apartment rental
Cannaregio, near the Ghetto. Charming, recently renovated three-room apartment overlooking a canal and an inner courtyard, with a private entrance away from the crowds, in a typical Venetian neighborhood—quiet and peaceful. Fully equipped kitchen, hardwood floors; cool and peaceful. Air conditioning, independent heating. Just a short walk from the Fondamenta degli Ormesini and the Fondamenta della Misericordia, both lined with “bacari” and trattorias. A 10-minute walk from the train station and the Rialto Bridge; a 3-minute vaporetto ride; a 3-minute walk to a supermarket.

House was clean and well-kept. It was hard to initially find the lockbox to get the key as it was under some mail. Would be good to have a picture of the outside in the listing. Wasn’t crazy about the silk sheets.

Perfect spot away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas. Was able to walk all around Venice and is only about 15 min from the train station. Would definitely stay there again.

The places itself was really cute! When I got there I couldn’t open the lock box so if you run into this problem, just contact the host because the code may be wrong that was given to you. The key system was also confusing, but again, the host helped us figure it out.
The place was clean and had everything you could possibly need.
My only warning is, it has a slight mildew smell so if anyone in your party is sensitive, just a heads up. I was fine, but my friend was very sensitive to the smell. It makes sense though because the property is near the canal and you have to remember Venice can get high tide.
Other than that, it was livable for a few days and convenient! Cheaper than the hotels for sure.
