About this house rental
Geographical Location of Carinthia: Carinthia is Austria’s southernmost state and is the only one located entirely south of the main Alpine ridge. It borders East Tyrol, Salzburg, Styria, Slovenia, and Italy. Carinthia is the fifth-largest state (9,533 km²). Carinthia is a region of climatic contrasts. The harsh climate of the Hohe Tauern is contrasted by the temperate, Mediterranean-influenced climate of the lake district. About 78% of Carinthia’s area consists of forests, meadows, pastures, and alpine pastures. In the mixed deciduous and coniferous forests, the beech is the predominant deciduous tree. Willow and alder are found in the meadows. However, coniferous forests (spruce, larch) predominate in the Alpine region.
Further information: Carinthia’s “largest swimming pools” are hygienically perfect, have drinking-water quality, and are among the cleanest bodies of water in Europe, as confirmed by the EU every year. A few days after the end of the school year and the start of summer vacation, in early July, there was also a large-scale distribution of certificates for 42 Carinthian swimming lakes. And as in previous years, Carinthia’s State Councilor for the Environment and Water Management, LR Reinhart Rohr, was able to award the highest ratings based on limnological surveys conducted by the Department of Aquatic Ecology at the Department of Environmental Protection and Technology, the Carinthian Institute for Lake Research, and the Institute of Microbiology and Medical Hygiene in Klagenfurt: 36 “very good,” six “good” ratings, and a single “trio” (2.7)—described in the evaluation terminology as “suitable”—speak for themselves in this regard. Conclusion: Carinthia’s “largest swimming pools” are hygienically perfect, have drinking-water quality, and are among the cleanest waters in Europe.
