About this house rental
Close to all amenities: train station, motorway, restaurants, gas station, supermarket and bakery, the estate is located in the quiet of a 10-hectare meadow bordered by a river. In addition to the swimming pool, it has a large south-facing terrace with jacuzzi, an indoor sauna, spacious common areas, a bowling green, a ping-pong table, an air hockey area and a country setting without vis-à-vis. The 12 doubles are divided into 4 accommodation units all within the courtyard: the guest house, the gîte, the maisonette and the bridal suite. With extra beds, the capacity is 34 people. The manager occupies a private space in the courtyard of 3000 m2.
Nearby tourist sites: Pontigny Abbey 10 Km away. Joigny (market Wednesday and Saturday morning), Chablis (Sunday morning market) and Irancy are 25 Km away as are the cellars of Bailly Lapierre.
Within an hour's radius: Sens, Tonnerre, Noyers sur Serein, the abbeys of Fontenay and Vézelay, the castles of Ancy-le-Franc, Maulnes, Tanlay, Saint-Fargeau and Guédelon.

Everything was great! We booked this place for our group of just under 30 people. We especially enjoyed the main room of the guest house, the terrace, the jacuzzi, and the pool. The kitchens are well-stocked and suitable for cooking large meals, especially if you make use of multiple of them at once. We'd recommend getting delivery in from a local supermarket if you don't have a car (as we didn't). The surrounding area is super peaceful and nice for walking in.It's worth noting that for the extra beds (for if you have more than about 22 people) you need to provide your own bedding, including duvets. We also had to pop out to buy some amenities that we thought might be provided (soap in the bathrooms, sponges for washing) on the first day, which wasn't a big problem, but you might want to bring some beforehand!Nevertheless, everything was great and me and my friends had a fantastic time!
