We have stayed at a lot of these kinds of houses in the Boone/Blowing Rock area and this was one of the nicer ones. The kitchen was especially nice with a newer refrigerator and other updated appliances. The location between Boone and Blowing Rock was convenient and my kids enjoyed the foosball table. The only issue we had was that the VRBO listing said it had central air conditioning and it did not. There was an air conditioning unit in the living room in the middle of the house, but there was not air conditioning in any of the other rooms. We had the bad luck of being there when it was unusually warm and I have one kid who runs hot and he had trouble sleeping. I contacted the owner about the listing being inaccurate and he said that VRBO didn't give him the option to indicate there was A/C in just one room. I suggested that he update the "About this Property" section to give an accurate description there but one month after making this suggestion it still says "central A/C."

The house was in a perfect location for skiing at App Ski mountain. Loved the views! The kids loved the bunk room. Beds were comfy. House was clean. We would stay here again.

We had a good time and the home had enough room for 2 families of 4. We seen a thunderstorm roll over the mountain and it was quite the show. The home is also convenient to Boone. I'd stay here again, but would love to see an A/C in the bedrooms.
