This was one of the most disappointing accommodation experiences we have had in 20+ years in Greece.
The apartment has great potential. It has one of the largest and best-positioned terraces in the area, the furniture is decent, the bed linen and towels were clean and freshly laundered, and the refrigerator, air conditioning, and ceiling fan all worked properly. With proper cleaning, regular maintenance, and responsive management, this apartment could be an excellent place to stay because of its location and beautiful terrace. In its current condition, however, I cannot recommend it.
The biggest issue was the washing machine: it powers on but the drum doesn't rotate, making it unusable. We reported this immediately, but the owner denied it was a listed feature (though it was at booking). A box of hand-washing detergent in the bathroom cabinet strongly suggests prior awareness. There was also no proper drying rack, just a rope with three clothespins.
Cleanliness was the second major problem. The apartment showed signs of long-term neglect: terrace dirt, overgrown weeds at the entrance, an anthill, and old/new spiderwebs everywhere. Inside, the kitchen was unacceptable: greasy dishes and cutlery, unclean coffee machine and sandwich maker, a limescale-filled kettle, sticky fridge stains with food residue, and no trash bin. Outdoor furniture looked unused all season. The bathroom had a broken toilet seat and shower tiles covered in red mold and heavy limescale. Note: ceiling is very low, anyone over 190cm will struggle.
TV and AC remotes had dead batteries, which is minor but symptomatic. Wi-Fi was only intermittent.
Most frustrating was poor host communication. Instead of enjoying our holiday, we spent nearly two hours scrubbing, washing every dish, descaling the kettle, and hand-washing laundry, nothing any guest should have to do on vacation.
