East Frisia has long been a popular destination for adventure-seeking families. In the idyllic town of Tannenhausen, we offer you the opportunity to stay in our modern vacation rental. Our two-family home is located right on a beautiful swimming lake. The public beach offers plenty of recreational activities for your children. Not only is there a large swimming area and a non-swimmer zone, but also a kiosk, a beach bar, a playground, showers, and a spacious lawn. You can also rent bicycles or pedal boats and try your hand at water sports like wakeboarding and banana boat rides at the water sports center. For sports enthusiasts, there’s a volleyball court.

A special highlight of our vacation rental is the private access to the lake. This allows you and your family to enjoy your vacation in peace and seclusion. Since the apartment is located right on the beach, you’ll always have a view of the lake and can take a walk along the water at any time. This location makes our accommodation particularly family-friendly, as you can easily keep an eye on your children.

In addition to the lake, Tannenhausen offers many other recreational activities. Nearby, you’ll find a horseback riding center and a gym with squash courts.

Recreational Activities in the Area

For a longer outing, we recommend the town of Aurich, located about 5 km away. There you’ll find a shopping center and a lively pedestrian zone. Aurich also offers a wide range of recreational activities: museums, restaurants, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a climbing park for all ages, a skate park, and much more.

The North Sea is only about a 25-minute drive away. Spend an eventful day by the sea and take part in numerous recreational activities. Mudflat hikes, boat trips to the seal colonies, or surfing on the beach offer adventures for young and old alike. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can enjoy the sun or take a relaxing stroll along the dike. When the weather is nice, a boat trip to the picturesque East Frisian Islands is also well worth it.
