Tall ceilings, double doors, herringbone wood floor, with modern updated decor and furniture - this apartment is neat and spacious, with lots of storage cabinetry. The rooms are large. There were 4 adults and 2 children and we were very comfortable.
I liked the easy access to the building with a door code. A lockbox saved the keys to the apartment while we were away and provided access to those who arrived to the apartment first. A small elevator delivered us to our floor. This is not a deal breaker: the apartment is in an old building so the floor slopes down slightly on one side - it's part and parcel of staying in a charming old European building.
The location cannot be beaten.- near Republic Square and across from Student's Park, where our grandkids played with the local kids. There are several bars and restaurants downstairs, and a grocery store on the next block. It's quiet at night.
It was nice to have a washing machine, but plan on drying your laundry on a clothes rack (it will take time). Loved having the full bath with an extra half bath - no waiting in line to use the toilet.
We requested a bread knife and it was delivered in a timely manner, with extra toilet essentials.
I would stay here again.
