The only thing that I found slightly sparse was the fact that there was only one luggage cart, and it was not available when I arrived. Which meant that I had to lug my heavy luggage myself. The receptionist was unable to find a helping hand, but ended up helping me herself, which I appreciated. But I do feel that one cart is simply not enough.
The renovated room was awesome. Very comfortable and clean. I would have liked a normal coffee maker though. The little cups make strong coffee and there was no milk available. I did appreciate finding real glassware. Bigger mugs would have been wonderful.
I would suggest that the hotel prohibits smoking on the balcony. The rooms that bordered my balcony had people in them who smokes. One cigarettes, the other cannabis. So I really could not enjoy the balcony,
But... in general I would gladly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay near beautiful Edam and Volendam.

We had a short stay of two nights and enjoyed it very much. The room was quite spacious and in an excellent condition. Very quiet in spite of a main road nearby, though some noise from the floor was occasionally audible.
