Given the price and the view, we would have accepted any problem that arose—except for bedbugs

The location is good, primarily due to the beautiful view of the lake (from one of the rooms, the kitchen and the terrace) and the mountains (from another room). The neighborhood is calm and quiet—deserted, one might say—but we prefer that to the hustle and bustle. Picking up the keys was easy, and the process was clearly explained. The kitchen was nice.

It is worth noting that the listed house number ("8") differs from the one visible on the wall next to the entrance ("10"). If you have questions—such as which door to use—the contact person will refer you to the original description or a video they sent. However, the video only shows the door from the inside, not the outside, which is where you will likely be arriving from. These are minor inconveniences, though; the main issue—and the reason I want to warn anyone planning to stay there—is the bedbug infestation found on the mattresses. (Not to mention the trash left behind, a deflated ball lying in the yard, roller shutters that had been taken down and left on the ground, weeds reaching chest-height in places, and a practically unusable internet connection.) They did not provide enough bed linen for the five people indicated, nor did they supply the missing items later; we were left relying on nothing but vague promises. The house is old, so it is understandable if the exterior looks neglected in places, but it is still worth mentioning. Turning into the bend from the main road requires a three-point turn (Y-turn), though this is understandable given the local geography. You should also be prepared for the fact that if you arrive on a Friday evening, for instance, you might not find a parking spot and could have to wait up to an hour for one to open up—likely due to the nearby restaurant. It is also worth noting that there is quite a walk from the parking area to the accommodation (though this didn't bother me personally—I mention it only for information). I think that after all this, it is worth mentioning the name of the rental company: "Garda Gate – Perla SRL". In short: don't expect an excessive level of personal, family-style care from them. And unfortunately, I also have to write—if I may do so here—that those good old days are gone when Booking.com could effectively help in such cases.
