About this apartment rental
The Storchennest is a very spacious two-story apartment. It was renovated in May 2022 and features, among other things, beautiful new flooring and a spacious new dining area.
The following rooms are available:
• Living room with a large dining area, children’s play area, sofa, and satellite TV
• Two bedrooms with double beds, one of which is on the upper floor
• Bedroom/children’s room with a 140-cm bed
• Bathroom (with natural light) with shower, toilet, and changing table
• Kitchen with refrigerator, glass-ceramic cooktop, oven, and dishwasher
Our farm is located on the outskirts of Sandberg and thus right next to the nature reserve. Not far from the Kaskadenschlucht gorge and the Rotes Moor, it’s an ideal starting point for exploring the Hohe Rhön. Hikers can lace up their boots right away; glider pilots and skiers can reach the Wasserkuppe in just a few minutes; and cyclists can hop on their bikes immediately.

Environmentally friendly thanks to biomass and solar thermal heating; electricity is largely generated by our own PV system. An electric vehicle charging station (AC Type 2 plug) is available for self-service at standard market rates. E-bikes can be charged free of charge.
On-site costs: Payment is due in advance via bank transfer or on-site in cash, by credit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Check-out is available between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Other check-in and check-out times are possible upon request. Please contact us in a timely manner to arrange this, if necessary. Keys are typically handed over in person on-site; if a key box is used, you will receive the code well in advance of your arrival. A baby crib can be provided free of charge upon request. Pets are not allowed.The tourist tax of 2.10€ per person per night (for guests 14 years and older) will be charged separately on-site. A flat fee of 15 EUR applies for use of the sauna barrel, regardless of the number of guests (usage time: 90 minutes; each additional hour costs 10 EUR). This includes the rental of sauna towels, which will be provided for you in the sauna lobby. For stays of 5 days or more, sauna use is free. Charging electric cars is charged at the standard market rate. E-bikes can be charged free of charge.
