This was a lovely apartment, with lots of features that made it feel like a real home, rather than one kitted out at IKEA. The kitchen was a good size and had everything that we needed, including a teapot. We loved the windows with fly screens over, which meant we could open them at night. Despite being on the corner of two roads, the apartment was very quiet. We loved being on the ground floor with a private garden area to sit out in. We were very close to the cathedral and all the attractions, but it was lovely and quiet.
We didn't like the fact that there were no opening windows in the bedroom for fresh air. The only daylight came through a high glass partition between the bedroom and bathroom and an obscured glass door, which made it very gloomy in there in the daytime. The bathroom was lovely, but the shower was poor, as you couldn't increase the temperature and the flow rate was really low. I know that this is good for the environment, but it took ages when I was washing my hair. We had a problem with ants on the kitchen surfaces and this is obviously a recurring problem as there was lots of sprays to kill insects in the washing machine cupboard. Having said that, I would definitely stay there again.

Great location, close to town. Comfortable, casual- feeling apartment.
Walled in lawn area felt safe, private and cozy. Having a full kitchen and washing machine for laundry was nice.
I loved the big, warm towel rack in the bathroom. When I had to leave something behind, the hosts were so kind to offer to help send it to me!
The parking situation was challenging. The apartment is on a surprisingly busy corner, so there is car noise on busy mornings. Not terrible, but if you’re wanting to sleep in or sensitive to it, it could bother you.
