In the summer, the hiking buses take you from the Planai World Championship Park to the mountains of the Schladminger Tauern and to the Dachstein—so even your car gets a vacation in the hotel’s own parking lots. To ensure you’re well-prepared for your day in the Schladming-Dachstein region, we’ll treat you to an expanded breakfast buffet. 

Landhaus Trenkenbach is centrally located in Schladming, features its own free parking, and offers rooms with 4-star amenities in a country-house style. In winter, you’ll find the gateway to skiing right outside the front door of the Hotel-Garni Landhaus Trenkenbach. From the ski room—which has its own entrance—it’s just a one-minute walk, and the Planai gondola takes you to the ski mountain that hosted the 2013 and 1982 Alpine World Ski Championships. From there, you can explore the 4-Mountain Ski Area, which includes the other ski mountains: Hochwurzen, Reiteralm, and Hauser Kaibling. To round out your day on the slopes, there are several winter hikes that also start right at the World Championships Park: the Enns Loop or the Roman Loop through the Untere Klaus district, and as a highlight, a winter hike through the Talbach Gorge to Untertal, which is illuminated until midnight.

In the summer, the Schladming-Dachstein Summer Card is included in the room rate. With the Premium Vacation Card, you can enjoy many attractions in the vacation region for free. For example, one ride on a mountain railway is included daily, and once a week you can even use the Dachstein Glacier Railway. In addition, hiking buses, admission to lakes and swimming pools, family programs, and museum admission are included free of charge. Furthermore, many rental shops and recreational facilities offer discounts to Summer Card holders. From the biking and hiking portal at Planet Planai, you can start several summer tours practically right from our hotel, including a hike along the Planai World Cup Trail or the first stage of the “Wilde Wasser” themed trail through the Talbach Gorge. Several mountain bike tours also start right at the Planai Stadium, and the World Cup-tested downhill trail from the Planai will get your adrenaline pumping.
