The location is perfect, the lake is within walking distance with a lovely bar there are paddle boats and deck chairs to hire, the house is lovely with big rooms which made it the perfect size for our family of 5 adults and a one year old. Information leaflets would be good.
It's obviously an expensive house in an exclusive area but definitely lacks love and attention. I understand it's rented out but holiday makers expect some sort of standard. If we had gone in high season and paid high season prices I really wouldn't have been happy with what was provided.
We paid extra for a travel cot, which was broken on one side, no proper mattress just 4 cushions together with other cushions on top which we had to remove as it was dangerous, a younger baby could suffocate, these things are not expensive to provide.
Shower doors had to be closed by pulling the bottom and the frame actually lifts up at the top, not fixed to the ceiling, dangerous and needs replacing.
The second kingsized bedroom had two cheap single beds put inside a wooden kingsize bedframe, very strange and not as advertised.
Bedroom 3 has two single beds, one bed creaks badly, no proper mattresses, floor cushions piled on top of each other which was very uncomfortable for my 36 yr old Son, again a strange idea, proper mattresses needed.
We were informed on the day of our arrival the oven was broken, it couldn't be repaired for another week so they wavered the damage deposit and tourist tax, deposit we would have got back anyway. Not ideal with a baby.
The barbecue wasn't fit for purpose had broken tiles around it, hazard for small children they need removing.
There is a large metal frame in the garden, I'm guessing it had a swing seat, needs a seat or removing.
Hosepipes and empty plastic plant pots lying around, just look messy, there's a garage for storage so no excuse, grass not cut.
Garden furniture wasn't cleaned for us, one chair was rickety, 2 yellow canvas chairs covered in flies.
Too many trees shading the garden, only sun is the back which is messy and not very inviting.
