A super flat with a massive key problem !

The flat is superb, located in a beautiful and quiet residential area.

I want to express our strong dissatisfaction and displeasure with the way this flat rental was handled. Before taking this reservation we had to fill in a form which required the insertion of a photocopy of my passport and a selfie of myself. I had a problem inserting those two documents in the appropriate box. However I emailed the requested documents and informed Booking about it. I assumed everything was in order and according to the normal procedure we would receive the code number to open the lockbox one hour before our arrival at the flat. So one hour before, having received no such code number we started ringing the only telephone number we had : in vain, all we had was a recorded message in Portuguese, language we don’t know and following many more calls we finally managed to speak to a human being. From the lengthy conversation we had with this person it become obvious that nobody had bothered to verify that we had indeed emailed the requested documents, and as a result nobody had sent us the wretched code number to open the lockbox. Finally the code number was given to us. We opened the lockbox, got the key to the front door ( the flat is on the second floor of a three storey block of flats) but unfortunately ….. the door wouldn’t open ! More telephone calls… finally after 10 minutes struggling with the key ( and sore fingers)the door miraculously opened !! Relief, we thought, but no, that was not the end of the nightmare because once in the hall the second door leading up to the stairs and lift offered an even fiercer resistance than the lock of the main door ! After a quarter of an hour and even more sore fingers it wouldn’t let us in ! To cut a long story short a person was sent to our rescue and it appeared that the faulty key was a copy of a copy of a copy . The owner/management of the flat knew of the problem and yet nothing was done about it ,they simply placed the faulty key in the lockbox ! THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE .

Estancia muy agradable, ubicación tranquila y excelente atención

Apartamento muy recomendable. 😊 La ubicación es excelente: cerca del centro, pero lo suficientemente alejado para disfrutar de una zona tranquila y sin ruidos. Además, hay un supermercado muy cerca y aparcamiento gratuito en la zona, siendo fácil encontrar sitio. El apartamento es espacioso, luminoso, limpio y está muy bien equipado, además de contar con aire acondicionado. El sofá-cama también es cómodo, por lo que la estancia ha sido muy agradable. La comunicación con el anfitrión y la compañía gestora fue muy buena: respondieron rápido, fueron eficaces y estuvieron atentos a nosotros siempre que necesitamos algo. ¡Repetiríamos sin duda!

Como único punto negativo, y por decir algo, el acceso a la piscina es por fuera del edificio. No supone ningún problema ni afecta realmente a la estancia, pero es el único detalle a tener en cuenta.

Apartamento muy recomendable. 😊 La ubicación es excelente: cerca del centro, pero lo suficientemente alejado para disfrutar de una zona tranquila y sin ruidos. Además, hay un supermercado muy cerca y aparcamiento gratuito en la zona, siendo fácil encontrar sitio. El apartamento es espacioso, luminoso, limpio y está muy bien equipado, además de contar con aire acondicionado. El sofá-cama también es cómodo, por lo que la estancia ha sido muy agradable. La comunicación con el anfitrión y la compañía gestora fue muy buena: respondieron rápido, fueron eficaces y estuvieron atentos a nosotros siempre que necesitamos algo. ¡Repetiríamos sin duda!

Como único punto negativo, y por decir algo, el acceso a la piscina es por fuera del edificio. No supone ningún problema ni afecta realmente a la estancia, pero es el único detalle a tener en cuenta.
