A highly distressing experience with misleading information, poor conditions, and filthy room

Nothing

The upstairs room we were allocated was in an unacceptable and extremely poor condition. The ceiling was so low it could be touched by hand and was torn in places. There were no bed sheets provided and the bed had a bare mattress on arrival. The sofa was dirty and, despite the property being advertised as having a double bed and sofa bed, the sofa was not convertible into a bed. There were also not enough duvets for our family. Contrary to the listing description, there were no proper curtains on the windows — everything was see-through, offering no privacy. Most concerning was the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke throughout the accommodation. Within minutes of entering the room, my young son’s asthma was triggered and he began coughing, making it impossible for us to stay. We were forced to leave within an hour of checking in and urgently secure alternative accommodation for two nights at a significantly higher last-minute price. We informed the host immediately and were advised to contact Booking.com to request cancellation for the remaining night. Although I contacted the booking.com the following morning and was assured the matter would be addressed, we never received a response or refund despite repeated attempts to follow up. As a result, we had to pay both for this property and for emergency replacement accommodation. This was an extremely stressful and disappointing experience.

hard to recommend to stay

even it has two bedroom and kitchenett, generally inconvenient to stay..bath room door was broken and bed was poor...
