About this house rental
Nestled in Grand Marais, this delightful house is an enchanting retreat for families with small children. With 2 bedrooms featuring a queen and king bed, this gorgeous property offers a cozy living room with a sofa bed and pack n play for additional space. Our sweet little place will help you feel at home while you're traveling to Grand Marais. This is our home during the school year :) and weekdays in the summer as we live up the Gunflint trail. In the summer the garden is lush and peaceful, and there is even a loft for kids to read and play. The home is 500 feet from Lake Superior - Gitchi Gumee "the Inland Sea" but it does not have direct beach access, the best beach in town is a 5 minute drive. It is just 1 mile from downtown Grand Marais: the "coolest small town in America" just moments from the Gunflint trail - Superior National Forest and countless adventures: canoeing, hiking, swimming, sailing, classes at the North House Folk school and Art Colony. It is directly on Hwy 61, so in the summer if your windows are open, you will hear the highway noise. The garage offers you a huge area of space to unload gear or prep for a trip to the Boundary waters, day hikes. or store your things for the beach out of the rain and snow. The garden is absolutely lush and beautiful. There is a hot yoga studio on the property where we host classes, in the event that there is a class during your stay you will be informed 48 hours prior. Parking for the yoga studio (max 6 people) is on the right side, guests on the left in front of the garage, you wiull have space for up to two cars, if you need more please let us know. Since we are part of the EcoBnb you can be assured that you will not have any indoor air pollution in the form of detergents or harsh chemicals or fragrances. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and baking. There are oodles of children's books and games. It truly is the perfect family vacation spot. You will share parking with

We had a fantastic week here with our two teenagers and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while exploring the Grand Marais area. The home was exceptionally comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed.The kitchen deserves special mention—it was one of the best-stocked vacation rental kitchens we’ve used. We enjoy cooking, and it made preparing meals from scratch easy and enjoyable throughout the week.The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, making it a wonderful place to relax after a day of hiking and sightseeing. The owners were outstanding hosts—friendly, incredibly responsive, and always happy to answer questions or offer helpful recommendations for things to do in the area.One of our favorite touches was the homemade ginger cookies waiting for us when we arrived. It was such a warm welcome, and our kids absolutely loved them!We truly felt at home during our stay and would gladly return. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed home and wonderful hosts in the Grand Marais area.

The property was clean, had a warm homey feeling and the homemade cookies were a special touch to us. Time and care was taken to put out items that benefited our family and gave it a very personal touch. The location to town was perfect for a quick trip in for food and supplies as needed.

This is a fantastic rental for the price, location, amenities, and natural beauty! To start the managers are super responsive and kind. A blizzard hit while we were up there and there was great communication and the driveway and sidewalk to the house were plowed and shoved in a very timely manner. The kitchen well stocked! Want to make waffles or grilled sandwiches on your trip up north then got for it. There isn't a TV (for those looking to get away) and there is a great selection of games to play while watching the wildlife out of the windows. Wifi is really good for checking in with family/friends/work. This stay was super stress free - I can't wait to stay here again.
