Schön renoviertes, altes Gebäude. Parkplätze auf dem Gelände.
Sehr freundlicher Empfang und umfassende Einweisung auf Deutsch durch Louis, den Betreiber der Unterkunft.
Im Haus duftete es angenehm nach dem oft genutzen Kamin, der sich im Gemeinschaftsraum im Erdgeschoss befindet. Dort ist auch der Frühstücksbereich. Es gehört auch eine große Terrasse dazu, von der es in der Dämmerung möglich ist, Tiere der Umgebung zu beobachten.
Großes Zimmer mit kleinem, davon abgeteilten Bad. Dank der aktiven Heizung war es angenehm warm in den Räumen. Alles weitgehen sauber. Bett sehr bequem. Ablagen und Stauraum sind vorhanden. Nachtruhe war völlig ungestört. Klarer Himmel mit unglaublich strahlenden Sternen. Dank der Aussicht von unserem Zimmer 3 auch schöner Sonnenaufgang und tolle Stimmung mit dem vom nahegelegenen See sich hebenden Morgennebel.
Das Frühstück, das Louis sorgfältig vorbereitet, bietet eine schöne Auswahl an frischen und an abgepackten Produkten.
Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt, wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt.
Die dicken Mauern sorgen einerseits dafür, dass das Haus nicht hellhörig ist. Allerdings behindern sie das Wi-Fi-Signal, das, trotz im Gebäude verteilter Repeater, nicht sehr stabil ist.
Im Vergleich zu anderen, sehr ähnlichen Unterkünften, ist der Preis für die Übernachtung deutlich höher.

Wir waren vor allem wegen der Wildtierbeobachtung in dem Ort und wegen der Deutschsprachigkeit von Luis in diesem Quartier.
Nur eine unbedeutende Kleinigkeit: Bohnenkafffee wie in Deutschland haben wir doch vermisst.

Wahnsinnig tolle Unterkunft! Großer Balkon für die Hunde, Super Lage in der Natur, sehr schöne Zimmer und gemütlicher Gemeinschaftsraum. Sehr gutes Frühstück!

Civitella Alfedena is a very small village, with only a few hotel options. We're so happy that we chose to stay at Volpicelli.
The location, just at the edge of the village, is quiet and with excellent views over Lake Barrea. Our room, with a lake view balcony, was large and comfortable. We slept very well throughout our stay, even as the deer barked during the night.
Breakfast is laid-out, and options for freshly-prepared hot dishes are available. Louis' mum offered us a choice of eggs, and intuitively deduced that we would also like bacon with them - of course we would!
Within a couple of hours of checking-in, we watched deer and wild boar grazing for food just at the end of the garden, and later saw deer in the actual garden.
Louis, the owner, was a way for the first part of our stay, so we met his mum, who made sure that we were well-looked after throughout our stay. We met Louis toward the end of our trip, and he is just as charming.
There are a few bars and restaurants in the village, so over our four-night stay we visited them all.
We aleady love to visit Abruzzo, and it is extremely likely that we'll return to Volpicelli.
