The vacation home can accommodate up to eight people: three bedrooms with a total of six beds, as well as two comfortable sleeper sofas in the living room. Satellite TV, Wi-Fi, games, window screens, and cozy seating ensure a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen features a 5-burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, blender, and all necessary cooking and dining utensils. The bathroom features a walk-in shower, toilet, sink, towels, hair dryer, washing machine, and dryer. An iron, clothes rack, and cleaning supplies are also provided. Outside, you’ll find patio furniture, a patio umbrella, and a charcoal grill. For families, there are games and outlet covers. The house is smoke-free, pet-free, and not wheelchair-accessible, but it’s ideal for families, seniors, and tradespeople. Sustainability is a top priority: 100% green electricity, energy-efficient lighting, water-saving fixtures, and eco-friendly cleaning supplies all contribute to an environmentally conscious stay. As a special service, we offer options An or B when using the sleeper sofas. With Option A (Standard), both sleeper sofas are extended, resulting in a total sleeping area approximately 2.30 m wide. With Option B, two guests use only one side, creating a cozy sleeping area with a total width of 1.40 m, while still having the option to use the rest of the couch as well. Please let us know your preferences if you’re renting the vacation home for 8 guests and prefer Option B. Though rather unassuming from the outside, this historic half-timbered house reveals its full charm inside: a lovingly restored former “Hirtenhäusla” in a cozy country-style design that captivates with warm colors, natural materials, and an inviting atmosphere. The three individually furnished bedrooms on the upper floor—where the ceiling height is slightly lower than usual, but all the more cozy for it—accommodate up to six guests, while the first floor, as the heart of the house, features a living area with a large corner couch and another cozy lounge area near the kitchen. The corner sofa also serves as a sleeping area for additional guests, allowing a total of 8 people to stay overnight. The open kitchen, with its integrated dining area and wood-burning stove, invites you to enjoy social gatherings, whether you’re cooking, playing games, or savoring regional specialties. A sunny terrace with patio furniture and a grill right next to the house rounds out the harmonious overall picture. Nestled in the idyllic village of Freiröttenbach, a district of Schnaittach on the edge of Franconian Switzerland, the house is the perfect starting point for hikes, trips to Nuremberg, or relaxing days surrounded by Franconian nature. The vacation home is located in the Nürnberger Land district, which lies northeast of Nuremberg and is known as a region for outdoor activities and culinary delights. With the Franconian Switzerland-Franconian Jura Nature Park, it offers a diverse natural landscape with a wide variety of excursion and recreational opportunities.
