The location is fantastic — right in Auckland's Viaduct Harbour. There are plenty of famous restaurants and bars right downstairs and nearby, making it very easy to sort out breakfast, lunch, dinner, and afternoon happy hour. Transport is also very convenient: it's only a 5–8 minute walk to the Britomart transport hub and the Ferry Building, giving you easy access to almost anywhere in Auckland.
Be aware that you need to complete an online check-in with your personal details before arrival. We received the check-in instructions at 3:00 pm.
The room is on the top floor of the apartment building and is well-equipped. The balcony offers a direct view over the harbour — the view is excellent.
You have to pick up the keys from a lockbox room about a 5-minute walk away. This is a bit inconvenient if you're driving yourself — parking in the city centre is very difficult, you can only stop outside the apartment building for 5 minutes, and the parking lot requires a room key card for entry.
If you're staying with three people here, you'll need to set up the sofa bed yourself. We informed the apartment management team in advance that we would need the sofa bed and asked them to prepare it, but this service wasn't actually provided, and we ended up making it up ourselves.
If you're sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room, you will hear noise from the nearby bars at night. It generally quiets down after about 1:00 am. The bedroom, however, is not affected and stays quiet throughout.

The apartment was really comfortable, great view and handy to town, viaduct restaurants just below us also handy. Walking distance to town and train station.
Had an issue getting the key, hard to find the key room which was around the corner and code didn't work.
The sliding door to the balcony was broken, took 2 people to open and close, and wouldn't close completely, this issue was noted back in Dec 25 and still not fixed. Not sure about the balcony looks like it's sinking, room 611.
2nd day there the plug in the bathroom wouldn't release to let the water out of the sink, but that can happen, hopefully that got fixed. If they fix these would stay again. Pillows too hard also.

Great location on the viaduct. Plenty of places to eat below the apartment. Next time I would book directly at The Sebel.
It took 2 hours to find the place to pick up the keys and then the apartment. We walked past many times but we're looking for the name Modern Harbourside and if it said The Sebel it would be much clearer. The balcony door was jammed open. Asked the management at Zodiac to sort it. They said someone would come and fix it but in 3 days they never came. The pull out bed in the lounge was very short. Only suited for a child not an adult. The extreme security I had to fill out was more than I have ever been expected to do. No place to leave bags while waiting for check in. And a $50.00 + charge for an early check in which I declined. The toilet flusher difficult to work. Poor soap dispenser. No fridge light. Red spots on pillow and sheet and duvet ?blood?
