Location

We were looking forward to our very reasonably priced unit in Granville. It has wonderful reviews about its cleanliness I should have known when I requested parking numerous times and all I got was the confirmation of our arrival time, that something wasn’t quite right. The office when you arrive is like it is in someone’s junk room. Half eaten food bowls, chairs boxes and just a general mess, not what you would normally see when checking into your accommodation – not even a screen to hide the mess. We got our key and paid our security deposit and parking fee. Unpacked the car, found the lift and headed to our room. We were going to heat up some food for dinner. The person who used the apartment for cooking before us had put all the plates and utensils away wet – and that is because there is nothing to dry them with – no tea towel. The apartment was far from clean. The window sill behind the bed looked like it had never been wiped over or vacuumed. The kitchen splash back was dirty and shampoo or conditioner was still on the shower walls and up on the shower window. There is no hand towel or bath mat in the bathroom (or face washers if you need). Bedding and towels appeared clean, and floor had been vacuumed, but didn’t appear to have been mopped. We were leaving very early in the morning so were going to make use of the key drop facility. There were no instructions so thought it should be straight forward. I hadn’t noticed any exit procedure in the car park so didn’t drop our keys off yet. We packed the car and drove up to the gate, nothing, then we scouted around the car park area and couldn’t find anything to scan our fob. I went back up the lift, outside to the front of the building, unlocked the carpark, needed the key to get back in and drop the keys off. We had an appointment at 7.30, so very lucky we hadn’t dropped those keys in the box first.

Clean, nice and tidy, easily accessible, staffs are very welcoming. I got upgraded from ensuite to family size bedroom which was generous from the management. I had a wonderful night.

Everything was okay for me.

The room was clean and seemed quite new. Basic but just what was needed.

The apartment room was on the ground floor right at the main building entrance which open and slammed shut loudly every 15 minutes, basically all hours of the night. The main building doorway needs to be upgraded to close quietly, else no one will be able to sleep there.
