About this apartment rental
This bright, cozy attic apartment is located in the beautiful village of Liggeringen at the highest point of the Bodanrück Nature Reserve, between the Radolfzell and Überlingen sections of Lake Constance. The house is situated in a very quiet location on the upper edge of the village, right at the start of hiking trails through forests and meadows with magnificent views of the lake and the Alps. Popular destinations such as Konstanz and Mainau, Radolfzell, Überlingen, Meersburg, Bodman, and Höri are easily accessible from here. The living room and bedroom feature a 140-cm double bed with nightstands, two comfortable armchairs with a glass table, a desk with a chair, and a TV with internet access. The view from the window sweeps over the village rooftops and the surrounding landscape of forests and meadows. The kitchen is modernly furnished with a fully equipped kitchenette featuring a stove, oven, refrigerator, and small dishwasher, as well as a coffee maker, electric kettle, and toaster, along with a basic selection of kitchen utensils. (Coffee, tea, salt, sugar, vinegar, and oil, etc., are provided.) A particularly charming feature is the “convertible window”—a small, hinged balcony offering a view of the village church tower and the forest. The bathroom with a shower is also modern. The apartment is located on the second floor of a three-family house. A gently curving wooden staircase leads up to the apartment. You can park right next to the house on the street or a few houses down at the hiking parking lot.
The hosts live on the first floor of the house and are happy to assist (at least in the mornings and evenings). Guests are also provided with a phone number for urgent questions. If guests arrive at a time when the hosts are not yet home, they can access the key via a key box.
The area is ideal for bike tours by bicycle or e-bike. You can enjoy a wonderful swim in the nearby Mindelsee—a picturesque forest lake—or at one of the many surrounding Lake Constance beaches. On a high plateau above the village, there is a bison enclosure nestled amid expansive meadows. There is also a wildlife and amusement park nearby, as well as several castles and fortresses. Just a few minutes’ walk away is the popular “Wirtschaft zum Kranz” with a lovely beer garden and an extensive selection of regional dishes.
