Extremely disappointed

First, they tried to send me to a completely different property from the one I had booked. I was shocked and extremely disappointed. I immediately went back through my reservation details and, as soon as I found the information confirming the property I had actually booked, I sent them a screenshot via WhatsApp. A few minutes later, I received a message from a different number, in Spanish, asking why I hadn’t shown up. The whole situation was confusing and completely unacceptable. I have kept the messages, screenshots, and reservation details documenting what happened, and I intend to ask my lawyer what my options are. After this experience, I definitely do not trust Booking.com the way I did before. What bothers me most is feeling that I was being misled. I expect transparency when I make and pay for a reservation.

Anything! These people destroyed my weekend. *BTW the apartment was nasty!

AVOID renting any properties managed by "For You Rentals Madrid Hotel"

Due to the issues described below, we were unable to enjoy any part of this stay. It is important to note that the owner of the apartment, VAL81A Madrid, was helpful and responsive; however, the management company—whom all guests booking through Booking.com must deal with—was completely unprofessional. We strongly recommend AVOIDING any property managed by For You Rentals Madrid Hotel. The details of the problems are outlined below.

The parties involved in this experience were: (1) the apartment owner, who was attentive and willing to assist, and (2) For You Rentals Madrid Hotel, the company responsible for managing the property, whose conduct was consistently unprofessional throughout our stay. Before our stay, For You Rentals Madrid Hotel did not respond to any of our messages despite several attempts to contact them. When we arrived on the check-in date, we had received no instructions on how to enter the apartment. The building porter kindly helped us reach the owner, who promptly contacted For You Rentals Madrid Hotel on our behalf. Only then did they send access instructions. However, without our consent or prior notice, they directed us to a different address than the one we had booked and offered no apology. The replacement property also had a clogged shower drain. Access required installing an app and using electronic entry codes. Although we had booked two consecutive nights, the code only worked the first night. On the second night, it was suddenly invalid, locking us out while our luggage remained inside. Despite repeated calls from us and Booking.com, For You Rentals Madrid Hotel provided no response or assistance that day, leaving us stranded outside with two children and forcing us to find another room. They finally responded around midnight with a new code—far too late and without any apology. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I strongly do not recommend renting from For You Rentals Madrid Hotel.
