IT'S A TRAP, DO NOT STAY HERE
They pick up from bus station
Our stay quickly devolved into a complete nightmare that exposed the absolute failure of both the host and Booking.com. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by a strange sewer smell in the first bathroom that by morning permeated the entire unit, forcing us to keep the bedroom doors closed. Compounding this, the internet was so spotty that I couldn't get any work done, and things only deteriorated further the next morning when I ventured into the shared kitchenette through a moldy-smelling first-floor unit. The kitchenette was a biohazard: the coffee machine was filthy and covered in dust with a moldy water filter, the countertops and sink were covered in leftover food and grime from guests four months prior, opened food items were carelessly mixed in with cleaning supplies, and the overflowing trash outside matched the filthy floors and utterly missing kitchen supplies. When I contacted the host at 7:56 AM about the kitchen and non-existent internet, she ignored my first message for over an hour, later gaslighting me by denying the very photograph of the moldy coffee machine I sent her. It took three hours for a housekeeper to show up, who then proceeded to bizarrely scrub the moldy coffee equipment with floor cleaner and a knife, aggressively trying to clean everything right in front of us at lunchtime while my child and I still had nothing to eat and no working internet. When I confronted the host, she was defensive, had a terrible attitude, and insolently told me I could just leave. So I'm being forced to stay a week in a house that reacks like death, no internet, and absolutely receiving nothing that the property had listed?? While the agent's comment was that this property has "high rating". So appauling to hear given the current situation. To make matters worse, Booking.
