Landhaus Süchterscheid

Nice setup, the rooms seem to have individual characters with retro furnishings. For me it was a pleasant change to the typical hotel setup these days where rooms are filled with faceless furnishings from a certain Swedish store. The hosts proved to be awsome and up for a chat. Breakfast was surprisingly good too. I tend to avoid it in hotels but it came with the price and a personal service. Shower was on the small size but temperature control was spot on and consistent. Parking, as advertised, is sufficient but about a 60m walk from the building. This worked well for us as the weather behaved during our visit.

We genuinely didn't realise the restaurant was shut for some months before arrival. It seems we were the first to make the hosts aware it was still being advertised, and for once I was planning to use it. This is a note of caution if you are under the same impression and arriving as part of a walking or cycling holiday as the surrounding area is spread out and a car is desirable for tired bodies, especially on darker colder nights.

Excellent

The organization and the cleanliness

Gemütlich. Landhaus-Stil. Frühstück ohne Rumgerenne. Umfangreiche Auswahl. Wurst (5 Sorten) war wohl vom Metzger, sehr gut. Cappuccino sehr gut. Äußerst aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Alles auffallend sauber. Landhaus in bester Lage an sehr wenig befahrenen Straßen Mühlental Ecke Heilig-Kreuz-Str.
