Visitor’s Tax/Overnight Stay Tax of the Hanseatic City of Wismar (5%):
The Hanseatic City of Wismar levies a visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax of 5% on the travel price of the booked accommodation. This is not included in the travel price and will be billed separately upon booking. Since the visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax is not based on the number of guests, visitors to the Hanseatic City of Wismar will not be issued a visitor’s card.

Located between Rostock and Lübeck, the beautiful Hanseatic city of Wismar—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—lies directly on the Baltic Sea, at the southern end of Wismar Bay. There are many sights, architectural and cultural landmarks, the harbor, maritime history, the Hanseatic League, and fishing to discover here, as well as plenty of recreational and cultural activities.
In the newly built LOTSENHUS Wismar, right next to the Schifferhus at the Old Harbor—just a few meters from the water’s edge—you’ll find our luxuriously appointed vacation apartment “WIS003,” featuring an exclusive view of Wismar Harbor. Start your vacation with a leisurely breakfast on the loggia overlooking the harbor basin and the Old Town of Wismar, located right nearby.
Our 84-square-meter vacation apartment with two separate bedrooms is located on the first floor and is suitable for 2, ideally for 4, people. The sofa bed in the living area can be converted into another cozy sleeping space in just a few simple steps, allowing up to 6 people to stay comfortably.
A parking space, as well as a separate storage room for bicycles or surfboards, is included with our apartment and is located directly behind the building. The vacation rental is a non-smoking unit; pets are not allowed. Smoking is permitted on the loggia with the door closed.

In the immediate vicinity and along the way to the cultural landmarks, you’ll find shopping options as well as restaurants serving national and international cuisine that invite you to linger and enjoy. Whether you’re in the mood for a fish sandwich or fresh smoked fish, you can pick it up right from the fishing boats in the harbor just outside your front door. If you’d like to prepare your own fish, the fishermen bring in their fresh catch daily. A bakery is just a few meters away.
