Complex:
The beautiful new building, Haus Emilia, with 6 residential units—all two- and three-room apartments—has been completed. Every apartment is equipped with underfloor heating, and the showers are all walk-in. The three-room apartments feature a separate guest restroom. Dogs are welcome in some apartments. All apartments include a storage room inside the unit, a private bike shed, and a parking space. On the first floor, guests have access to a washer and dryer for a fee.
The building meets the latest environmental standards. A short walk takes you to the cliffs, accessible via stairs, and the “Teufelsschlucht” (Devil’s Gorge) coastal section. The unspoiled beach is perfect for sunbathing and swimming. Shopping, cafés, restaurants, and a fish smokehouse are located within 400m–800m.
The novel “Sansibar oder der letzte Grund” was adapted into a film in Rerik in 1987, bringing media attention to the town. To explore Germanic history, visit the megalithic tombs at Gaarzerhof on the eastern outskirts of town and at Neu Gaarz (a passage grave and a prehistoric dolmen). In Russow, you can visit a typical fieldstone and brick church."
