The worst accommodation experience we have ever had—filthy, poorly maintained, and nothing like the “luxury” property ad
FILTHY, FILTHY, FILTHY — AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ANY COST!
This property was advertised as “luxury,” but what we found was anything but luxury. It was filthy, poorly maintained, and completely unacceptable.
The bathrooms were dirty, including what appeared to be feces on the bathroom trash can. The walls had many marks and scuffs, several closet handles were missing, and there was what appeared to be mold above the balcony area. And make sure you lift the covers on the couches and look underneath — that is where you will see even more of the filth. Covering dirt doesn’t make something clean.
We took photographs documenting the condition and contacted Booking.com.
The owner’s behavior made the experience even worse. He was rude, condescending, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility. Most unbelievably, he later told Booking.com that we never showed up or checked in. This is absolutely false. We WERE at the property, saw these conditions ourselves, and have photographs from our visit.
Booking.com told us they could not refund us unless the owner agreed, while the same owner refusing the refund was claiming we had never even arrived.
This was the worst accommodation experience we have ever had. The property looked nothing like what I would expect from something advertised as luxury, and the way the situation was handled was appalling.
I would never stay here again and would never recommend it. If cleanliness, basic maintenance, respectful treatment, and honest communication matter to you, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
