About this house rental
It is located not far from the river at the foot of a sun-drenched south-facing slope along the Moselle, the famous wine region known for its unique Riesling vineyards and Mediterranean culture.
The historic complex, comprising the main house, the vacation home, and the steep garden, was painstakingly restored over a construction period of nearly 10 years—primarily through the owners’ own labor—in accordance with ecological and traditional criteria.
It features its own wellness floor with a sauna and an outdoor area with a variety of seating options in the south-facing steep garden.

House in Spay:
THE VACATION HOME Directly connected to the main house, the vacation home nestles into the surrounding steep slope, the lush garden, and the vineyards of the Merler wine region. The house is designed for 2 people and features a bedroom, a kitchen-living room, and a small bathroom. A spacious spa with a sauna and an additional shower is available on the floor above. Outside, there is a cozy, covered porch and an outdoor seating area with sun loungers.
Drawing on the experience gained from renovating the main house, I spent four years renovating the vacation home to the highest standards—100% eco-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and of the highest quality.
A small bathroom was completely redesigned with green tadelakt; blue Stucco Veneziano enhances the tranquility of the bedroom; and orange-painted walls in the kitchen promise an energetic start to the day with the morning sun.
The kitchen, crafted from oak and slate, is superbly equipped and allows for top-notch cooking even while on vacation; all furniture is made of solid wood, and the textiles are free of harmful substances.
The indoor climate remains exceptionally pleasant during increasingly hot summers thanks to the protection provided by the main house. In addition, the covered veranda, with its Mediterranean charm and good ventilation, offers a refuge on both hot and rainy days. Those who prefer the heat can find a sunny spot on the patio in the sloping kitchen and ornamental garden. For cool fall and winter evenings, the house features a separate spa area with a large sauna and relaxation room. The vacation home has high-speed internet with Wi-Fi, making it an excellent choice for a “workation.” Entertainment is provided by a large Smart TV and a Bluetooth speaker. Of course, I’ll provide a selection of local wines from the Scheid organic winery and Kallfelz Riesling from the neighborhood.
