About this house rental
A small vacation home made of natural stone, nestled in an olive grove with 300-year-old olive trees.
Spectacular views across the Tuscan hills to the sea and the islands of Elba, Capraia, and Corsica
Near the "Podere Mulino Vecchio" in the municipality of Guardistallo, the two natural stone vacation homes “Rifugio Castelmugi” and “Rifugio Guardistallo” are located near the “Frantoio I Massi” oil mill. These two vacation homes, built offset from one another (with entrances and terraces facing opposite directions), sit perched above the valley like a pulpit.
The mountain village of Guardistallo is about 1.5 km away. Here you can do your shopping or enjoy a cappuccino in the small piazza. Additional shopping options are available in Cecina.
The beach in Cecina-Mare, which is just a few minutes’ drive away, is 7.5 km away.
Absolutely peaceful location, magnificent ocean view.
Near Guardistallo. Distances: Cecina 7 km, Bolgheri (home to Italy’s most beautiful cypress-lined avenue) 10 km, Volterra 30 km, Pisa 45 km, Lucca 55 km, San Gimignano 55 km, Siena 80 km, Florence 100 km.
“Osteria Pinzagrilli” in Guardistallo, within walking distance. A historic restaurant with a terrace.
The living room also features a comfortable sleeper sofa; the space can accommodate up to 4 people. A well-functioning wood-burning stove with a large viewing window provides cozy warmth and comfort during the cooler months. Shared washing machine with Rifugio Guardistallo.
The house has 2 terraces. One is a sun terrace with a view of the sea, and the other is shaded by straw mats. Teak chairs, a teak table, and lounge chairs are provided here.
P.S.: Upon arrival, you’ll receive a bottle of our homemade “olio extra vergine di oliva biologico.”
