Great Location, but a Very Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Money

The only positive thing about this accommodation is its excellent central location. Everything is within walking distance, including shops, cafés, restaurants, and the lakeside promenade, so there is practically no need to use a car. The private parking is also convenient, located approximately 100 metres from the apartment. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing. The apartment offers the absolute bare minimum in terms of facilities and comfort. As soon as we arrived, there was a strong smell of dampness and mustiness. The bedding smelled as if it had been left wet and then dried without being properly washed. The pillows were also musty and unpleasant, and the towels had the same bad smell. We were provided with only two large and two small towels for two people staying for two nights, which was not enough, especially since there was nowhere suitable to dry them. I had to hang the towels over the balcony. The bathroom was another major problem. The shower was only partially functional, and the shower curtain smelled bad. The water temperature changed unpredictably from scalding hot to freezing cold without any warning. At one point, my girlfriend's face became red when extremely hot water suddenly came through while she was showering. After a few minutes, the water would turn ice cold, only to become dangerously hot again. This is not just uncomfortable but potentially unsafe. The overall cleanliness and hygiene were poor. We kept all the windows and balcony doors open throughout both days in an attempt to air out the apartment, but the unpleasant smell never went away. Honestly, we spent as much time as possible outside because we did not feel comfortable returning to the apartment. The smell, the bedding, and the general lack of cleanliness made it unpleasant to even think about sleeping there. Considering the price of €70 for two nights, this accommodation was simply not worth the money.

Perfect location.

The sheets, especially the quilt had this smell like they were not dried enough before placing them on the bed. The water suddenly changes temperature from normal to boiling hot or to ice cold.

Perfect central location with a lovely little balcony

Perfect location close to everything - shops, bakeries, the lake and main sights. Unlike many other accommodations in the area, it is not uphill. Private parking space two streets away. Spacious room with a fridge and kettle. Tiny but lovely balcony overlooking the main shopping street. Check-in is handled by the staff at the jewellery shop downstairs, who were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, there was a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom, so we had to keep the bathroom door closed and ventilate the room regularly. The spiral staircase is quite steep and requires some caution. Please note that you can hear people talking in the street until late at night, but we actually found the atmosphere pleasant. It is not traffic, music or disruptive noise - just the sound of people passing by.
