This is a renovated unit in an older, slightly run-down looking building. The unit was spacious and clean, and the location was good - about a 20min walk to the bottom end of the Royal Mile. The living room was as shown in the ad - attractive, comfortable and with a large good-quality streaming TV. The kitchen was functional; the bedroom was large (mattress double, not king).
This unit has good features but there are a few issues that prospective guests should consider when evaluating it as an option.
The major things are:
Firstly, this unit is on the 4th floor, so there are many (56!) steps to climb with your luggage.
Secondly, although street parking is free, availability is very limited. We were able to get what was essentially the only spot left on the two occasions we arrived with our rental car. If you do not succeed in this, it could be difficult to find something on adjacent streets, and you would need to cart your luggage from there.
Thirdly, the unit is in a pretty run-down looking building, which doesn't matter in a way, but may surprise you if you are not expecting it ("Stylish Apartment").
There were various other minor things that the owner could do to improve the unit, including:
1. Replacing the rickety shower curtain rail with one that encloses the entire tub. The current one is small and tilts downward, so you have little room to move and must avoid stepping on the curtain while showering; the curtain also remains wet on the bottom of the tub and therefore smells mildewy.
2. Installing the missing doorknob on the bathroom door, or adjusting the location of the small deadbolt so that it closes.
3. Consider adding a microwave.
Attention to some of these details and a few other small oversights would offset those drawbacks that cannot be addressed re. the parking/building/common area.

The apartments are in a good, quiet area, close to the city centre. It was spacious and cozy, the living room had nice ambient lighting. The TV was very big and had everything set up for entertainment. The host is very helpful and fast to reply to my queries. Apartments had free public parking outside which was convenient when driving by car.
The bed frame is barely holding, albeit functioning just fine.
There was no microwave, which was a hindsight on my part as I'm used to seeing it in every apartment, although it didn't create much of an inconvenience during my short stay.

Good location and nice flat, staff provided good info for directions and getting into the property.
The additional charge for bringing a pet hidden in the small print despite on the main page says the property is pet friendly.
Bedroom door doesn't shut properly, bed frame looked like it was about fall apart and shower curtain rail hanging on for dear life !
