Lovely accomodation, very grubby.

The accomodation itself was lovely. Well decorated and mostly had the facilities I needed for my 2 day stay. The fire place is a lovely touch and the bed was comfortable.

When I arrived there were bin bags and bins infront of the parking so I had to move them before I could park my car. When I walked in I started noticing that there were some areas of concern. There were a load of unwashed bits of crockery and utencils put away in the cupboards. A chopping board covered in food debris that had been used and not washed. The table in the living room had dried food on it. There was dried milk spilt in the fridge and some bits of vegetable in the drawer. There was some small bits of rubbish next to the sofa and a used glass in the garden and a dead bouquet of roses laying on the floor. I contacted the company who offered to send someone to come clean. The lady who came was very friendly and corrected the bits I had noticed. I was happy to leave it there as they attempted to fix the problem. However...the next morning I was making breakfast and sadly more utencils had been left unwashed and covered in food. I piled them up on the counter and left them there with a note as I was not willing to wash it. I washed the items I had used. Having found these bits its so worrying to think what else had not been cleaned. The shower also is either scolding hot or very cold and switches between while its running. This is not a complaint but something to be aware of, the stairs are super narrow so need to be used with care. I had paid £30 extra for a late check out of 2 hours. Considering the poor service I would have expected them to at least offer a refund of this for the unacceptable dirty conditions.

Excellent clear & detailed instructions sent and written copy at the cottage. Perfect location quick walk to Damson Park for dog. 3 good takeaways & shop within 2 min walk.

Drive was small for off road parking but get the angle right & fine for even a medium car. Stairs were slim & steep so care should be taken, good strong hand rail to hold.
