Deposit hidden in the rules, locked out with kids

We paid for the stay through Booking. The 500 PLN damage deposit was not visible when booking; it is hidden in the property rules. A few days before arrival the host sent a message in Polish, without stating the amount, asking to transfer the deposit via BLIK, Revolut or bank transfer. I did not fully read the message and did not pay it. That was my mistake. I arrived with three children and found the door locked. The host said he would not give the keys until I immediately transferred the deposit to a personal account. I did not transfer the money. Booking.com asked for a free cancellation exception; the property refused. We did not enter the apartment and stayed elsewhere. Formally the deposit was in the rules, but the way it was demanded at the door left an unpleasant feeling. If you book this apartment, carefully check the rules and all messages before you travel.

Noc przed wylotem

Bardzo dobre miejsce na jedną noc. Cicha okolica i parking na miejscu. Można też zaparkować wzdłuż ulicy. Klucze w skrytce co ułatwia zameldowanie. Cena adekwatna do jakości. Mogłabym tam przenocować jeszcze raz.

Przydałoby się lepiej wyposażyć kuchnie (deska do krojenia) W jednym pokoju brakowało kontaktu, przedłużacz rozwiązałby problem.

Fajne mieszkanko, w dobrej cenie w dogodnej lokalizacji :)

Polecam.
