The “Mole” house is in an ideal vacation location, just under 30 meters from the beach! And in general, the house is a great starting point for everything you might want to do on vacation:
Restaurants, a playground, a skate park, and kiosks are all in the immediate vicinity. A bakery, bike rentals, and—for the more athletic guests—a fitness center are also within a 500-meter radius.
You can conveniently park your car in the public parking lots at the harbor (you’ll receive a parking permit with your keys)—and feel free to leave it there. The best way to get around here is on foot or by bike. Public buses run several times a day to Heiligenhafen or Fehmarn, so you’re super flexible. In general, Großenbrode is a great starting point for all kinds of bike tours: you can reach Heiligenhafen in just over an hour—a bit faster on an e-bike—or you can enjoy the unique view from the Fehmarnsund Bridge and bike directly to Fehmarn.
*Many offers are seasonal and subject to availability; fees apply; subject to change! If you’re dreaming of gently sloping beaches, glowing sunsets, and relaxation for the whole family—then come to Großenbrode on the Fehmarnsund. The wide, sandy Baltic Sea beach is perfect for digging in the sand and building sandcastles. Little water lovers and swimming enthusiasts can splash around to their heart’s content in the shallow waters of the Baltic Sea. Nearby, you’ll find shopping, playgrounds, restaurants, and a variety of recreational activities. Großenbrode has its own train station. The island of Fehmarn is only about 4 km from Großenbrode, and the city of Heiligenhafen on the Warder Peninsula (about 10 km away) also invites you to visit. Here, in addition to the traditional fishing port, you’ll find one of Germany’s largest and most modern marinas, a pier over 500 meters long, and a kilometer-long swimming beach.
