Our turn-of-the-century house was completely renovated in 2023 with great care to preserve its original character and was converted into one vacation apartment. It is located in the center of Mitterbach on Lake Erlauf (Lower Austria), just a few minutes’ walk from the entrance to the Ötschergräben and not far from the Gemeindealpe. Our apartment features: Cozy living room, Wi-Fi, fully equipped built-in kitchen with dishwasher and kitchenware; spacious dining area seating 6–8 with a panoramic window and a wonderful mountain view; 2 separate bedrooms, each with 1 double bed and an in-room shower and sink. One of the two bedrooms has an additional single bed. There is also a separate, modern bathroom with a spacious shower, toilet, towel warmer, and hair dryer. Parking space in front of the house for unloading, ski storage, and bike racks. Bed linens, towels, and dish towels are, of course, included. Non-smoking apartments. Pets are allowed.

The Mostviertel region and the Mariazellerland area, with its Ötscher and Tormäuer Nature Park—the largest nature park in Lower Austria—the Via Sacra, Austria’s oldest pilgrimage route from Vienna to Mariazell (Styria), many forested hiking trails, wild, romantic gorges and waterfalls, as well as the local heated outdoor swimming pool in Mitterbach (a 5-minute walk from our house), the beautiful, unspoiled Erlaufsee, which—with its excellent water quality—invites you to swim, diving, surfing, and boating, a mini-golf course in Mariazell, the Gemeindealpe (1,626 m) in Mitterbach, and the Bürgeralpe (1,267 m) in Mariazell—with its mountain biking and Nordic walking trails—combine to offer ideal vacation conditions for the whole family in every season. You can easily reach all these attractions from our vacation home by car, train, bike, or on foot. Even in winter, the Mitterbach/Mariazell area, with its idyllic winter landscapes and snow-covered forests, offers pure skiing pleasure for sports enthusiasts. An extensive cross-country ski trail as well as numerous ski touring and hiking trails are available to guests.
