This accommodation did not meet the expectations set by the listing. The inaccurate description

Absolute nothing

Unfortunately, our stay was nothing like what was advertised, and I would not recommend this accommodation to families. Before arrival, we were simply given a code to access the property. Upon opening the front door, we immediately heard people already living inside the house. While we understood from the listing that this was a semi-private accommodation with shared facilities, the description was misleading. It stated that we would have a private bathroom and a shared toilet. In reality, it was the opposite. We ended up sharing a single bathroom with guests from at least three other rooms. Assuming two occupants per room and our family of four, around ten people were sharing one bathroom. This information was never disclosed beforehand. The room itself was clearly a converted living room rather than a proper bedroom. The "double bed" was barely wider than a single bed and completely unsuitable for two adults. The mattress was so thin and worn that you could feel the wooden frame underneath when sitting or lying down. We were also expected to use a convertible sofa bed, complete with instructions on how to set it up ourselves. Unfortunately, it was extremely uncomfortable, with uneven support and a very poor sleeping experience overall. Cleanliness was another major issue. The room had a strong unpleasant odour throughout our entire stay, resembling a sewage or drain smell. The room was not properly cleaned before our arrival, with hair visible on the floor and around the room. The walls and ceiling showed signs of dampness, and the flooring was dirty with black marks throughout. The bathroom facilities were also problematic. On the first morning, the toilet flush was barely functioning, leaving waste floating in the bowl. The boiler was not working, resulting in my mother having to take a cold shower. To the owner's credit, after we reported the issue, someone was sent to fix the boiler, and that issue was resolved promptly.

The room was large and the garden private. The room and amenities were clean.

It wasn’t obvious from the property description that this is a room in a house and you share the kitchen and bathroom. With all the other rooms rented people were coming and going at all hours and I was woken up every night at 4am by another guest coming in the kitchen and using the microwave (my room was directly off the kitchen). The kitchen is not brilliantly stocked with cooking utensils. I had to buy a chopping board as there wasn’t one. Other guests tended to leave their dirty dishes in the sink.

Disgusting accommodation would never recommend to anyone.

Absolutely nothing.

The property was filthy dirty there was old bits of food in the bottom of the oven, the fridge was dirty & full of food some which was out of date. The floor in our room was sticky & dirty. The microwave was rusty so unusable. The sandwich toaster was dirty & the kettle was so scaled up. Stains in the toilet & the mop was black. The mattress on the bed was filthy & stained with what looked like bodily fluids. There was no extra bedding for the sofa bed so I had to buy a sheet duvet & cover plus extra pillows, if I’d have known (I did actually ask) but I could have bought mine from home. There was a stain on the ceiling from what looks like a previous leak. There were no fire doors on the kitchen & our room was off the kitchen again no fire door. I contacted the very rude owner who ignored most of my messages. Also there is no parking it’s street parking & as the room was so awful we stayed out till gone 11pm every night to avoid as much time there as possible so there were no spaces available & this made things very difficult with my disabled mum who because the shelves were so low cracked her head on one which caused her to fall. It was so low even my 7 year old could have hit his head. Very dangerous.
