The bakery is right next door. The bus stop, with service in all directions, is about a 150-meter walk away. There’s a gas station in town that’s open 24/7.
Behind the house is a large open space and the Brandsköppshaus. This local attraction features a library, a phone booth for book exchanges, and a bakery that offers fresh bread during events. The location is central in town and, thanks to the good insulation, pleasantly quiet. From here, you can explore the Rennsteig, visit Bertholdsburg Castle with its natural history museum, enjoy the outdoor pool in Schleusingen,
and hiking and biking trails, as well as the Bike Park and the Generations Park, all invite you to explore.
The Schilling Inn, with its excellent cuisine, is always worth a visit; the cozy beer garden is also a lovely place to relax.
The Ottilienbad in Suhl is just a few minutes away by car; the town of Suhl, with its weapons museum and vehicle museum, is also well worth a visit.
