I spent three years searching for the right place before finding Casa da Fortuna. What won me over was the garden: 3,800 m² of lush, private grounds in peaceful Fonte Santa, just a 10-minute walk through the pinewood to Loulé Velho beach. It feels less like a holiday house and more like having a small resort entirely to yourselves — room to spend time together, and plenty of quiet corners to retreat to.

Fully renovated in summer 2026, the villa welcomes up to 10 guests across five bedrooms, with five en-suite bathrooms and two additional guest toilets in the shared living areas.

A GARDEN TO SPEND THE DAY IN
This is a garden to live in, not just look at. Citrus trees, mature hedges and more than 100 potted plants run through the grounds and the house. Several lounge areas, eight sun loungers and two outdoor dining tables are spread across the gardens, so one half of the group can nap in the shade while the other plays. Awnings shade the main dining terrace for long lunches, and after sunset the garden and pool lighting turn the whole space into an outdoor room. Bordered by natural pinewood, the grounds are exceptionally private.

THE POOL
Private and secluded, with its own pool house, loungers all around and lighting that makes evening swims the best part of the day. The pool measures approximately 12 × 4 m and is unheated — a late-spring-to-early-autumn pool rather than a winter one. Pool and beach towels are provided.

COOK AND DINE OUTDOORS
The private outdoor kitchen is made for long, relaxed meals, with a wood-fired BBQ, pizza oven and dedicated preparation area. Inside, two fully equipped kitchens make cooking for your group easy, with two fridges, Nespresso machines, an ice maker, a dishwasher and all the cookware and tableware you'll need.

ROOM FOR EVERYONE
The villa is arranged over two levels: three bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. The upper level includes the main living and dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace. Downstairs there is a second living area with its own sofa, dining table and fully equipped kitchen, plus the laundry room and direct garden access. Stairs connect the levels.
This layout gives families and friends space to gather and room to retreat. Underfloor heating and a wood-burning fireplace make cooler-season stays comfortable.

FIVE BEDROOMS, ALL EN-SUITE
All five bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, giving everyone space and privacy — especially when travelling with extended family or a group of friends. All five bathrooms have a shower; bedroom 2's bathroom also has a bathtub.

Every bedroom has air conditioning and shutters; one also has blackout blinds, particularly useful for families with young children.

WHERE YOU ARE
Loulé Velho beach is a 10-minute walk through the pines, no car needed. It's a quiet Blue Flag beach, lifeguarded with a bar and loungers in season, and the long sands of Forte Novo and Quarteira are a short stroll along the shore. Vale do Lobo is 5–7 minutes by car for golf, tennis, padel and restaurants; Vilamoura marina about 15; Faro airport 25. Fonte Santa itself is residential and quiet: you come home to the garden, not to a strip.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Check-in is from 16:00; check-out is by 10:00. Keys are collected from and returned to the Oceano Villas office in Vale do Lobo, rather than at the villa. For arrivals outside office hours, collection from the office key safe can be arranged. Detailed instructions are sent privately before arrival. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and prior agreement; any additional charge is agreed in advance.

INCLUDED IN YOUR STAY
End-of-stay cleaning, bed linen, bath towels and pool/beach towels are included. Stays longer than five nights include one mid-stay clean and towel change. Additional cleaning and towel changes can be requested, subject to availability and an agreed charge.
A cot and high chair are available. Please tell us before arrival if you need them and share your preferred king or twin setup for bedrooms 4 and 5.

GOOD TO KNOW
The entire villa, garden and pool are for your group's exclusive use. The villa has two levels connected by stairs. The outdoor pool is unheated. The beach is a 10-minute walk through the pines; the villa is not beachfront.
Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. Parties and events are not permitted. No smoking or vaping. Please respect quiet hours from 22:00 to 08:00.
One well-behaved dog is welcome; the pet fee is €150 per stay.

MINIMUM STAYS & DISCOUNTS
Minimum stay: 3 nights November–February; 4 nights March–May and September–October; 7 nights June–August. Three-night winter stays have no short-stay surcharge.
Stay longer and save: enjoy 10% off stays of 7–27 nights and 20% off stays of 28 nights or more. These discounts do not apply June–August, 26 March–9 April 2027 or 23–29 October 2027, and cannot be combined.
Longer stays can be booked, subject to calendar availability.

LOCAL TOURIST TAX — PAYABLE AT CHECK-IN
The mandatory Loulé municipal tourist tax is payable separately at check-in and is not included in the booking price: €2 per guest per night from April to October, or €1 from November to March, for a maximum of 5 consecutive nights per guest per stay. Guests under 16 are exempt. For 10 adults staying 5 nights or longer, the total is €100 in April–October or €50 in November–March. Other statutory exemptions and any changes to municipal rules apply.
