The Lakehouse is ideal for year-round recreation, sitting waterfront on beautiful Lake Christopher in Bryant Pond, Maine. Conveniently located less than 20 minutes from world-class alpine and cross-country skiing at Sunday River, and 10 minutes from the mountain bike park and skiing at Mt. Abram.
Take a swim, enjoy our canoe and kayak, or park your own boat or snowmobile at the dock and kick back and enjoy the views from this 4-bedroom home. From here, the possibilities are endless with this base camp in western Maine, surrounded by endless trails and waterways. Nearby activities include skiing, water sports, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, snowmobiling, ice-skating, and wildlife viewing.
Dining and recreation activities abound in nearby Bethel, home to restaurants, nightlife, breweries, adventure companies, a bowling alley, and movie theatre.
Four bedrooms: three bedrooms with full size double beds, and one bedroom with three twin beds - can accommodate up to 9 guests. The house was built in the 1870's, so it has a classic Victorian look and feel. Original large windows in the living room and downstairs bedroom offer splendid views of the lake and hills.
One bathroom could feel limiting unless expectations are aligned with this characteristic. The kitchen features a pantry with electric range, oven, coffee maker, toaster oven and microwave. The kitchen features a wood burning Vermont Castings stove, dining table, and kitchen sink, all with views to the lake. In the summer, the dock is in the water, and air conditioners are placed in an upstairs and downstairs location, and fans are also available.
