After doing the Dempster and needing somewhere to rest up for a couple of days to do laundry etc, this place was spot on. Central, great pubs and cafes within walking distance. Busy, but back end of high season. Huge room with space to spread out and laundry just down the hall.
Parking a bit limited if you have a big vehicle / pick up but not a deal breaker as few of options nearby if you were willing to move by 8am

Location in downtown was good.
We booked a suite for a 2 night stay as property advertised itself as dog friendly. We checked in with our dogs present. At midday the next day a staff member phoned me on my cell and advised that as we had dogs in our room they were not permitted and told me I had to change rooms to the ground floor and a suite was not available . I responded and advised her that I would not be back until the evening and that this would be a B major inconvenience and what was the harm in finishing our stay . She then advised that she had to talk to someone else and would call me back in 5 minutes . She never did call back. We spent our afternoon in limbo awaiting the call. We found this interaction very unhelpful. It left a bad taste in our mouth
Lots of foot traffic noise incursion from rooms above us.
