We loved the historical significance of the hotel, the excellent location and the wonderful amenities. The staff was very polite and efficient. The two onsite bars and the restaurant for breakfast were all well appointed and excellent.
Our only complaint was the size of the room and the lack of a view. Obviously high rise buildings were built next to the original hotel making any view impossible unless on the top floors (higher priced rooms, and public venues).

Great location for exploring Boston
No ice machine on each floor - needed to use stairs to go between floors, as security would not allow use of elevator.
