Great location, reasonable price, lacking ammenities to be amazing

Clean, loved the privacy afforded to each bunk

I appreciate the amenities list doesn’t list a fridge in the dorm but the photos do and I think when catering to all budgets a fridge would have been appreciated, especially in the interest of saving food wastage from large portion sizes. Similarly with no microwave being available. The ice machine on level 8 doesn’t work

Quiet, restful, and with plenty of resources!

--Location was GREAT! --I was so grateful that you accommodated the bottom bunk request! I know that it depended on other factors, but I was still very grateful. --Set-up downstairs for reading/writing while roommates were sleeping was EXCELLENT. Best of any hostel I've been in.

The only thing that made th e stay difficult was getting parking. I wish I had just parked down the street from the beginning. After reading online that there was an attached parking garage, I circled 2x and called the hostel. No one answered, and I ended up having to move on to the timed event I was in DC for. I emailed the hostel from the venue and did not hear back. I ended up circling the hostel 2x more times in the dark, this time on the phone with the front desk. It ended up just being best to go down the street.

I don't like that place.

Don't recommend and suggest a hotel like this

There were bugs in bed, bad smell of smokes ,weeds..it was very difficult for me to spend even a single hour there.

Great location and great staff

Location was perfect, lots of food places nearby, 10 min walk to the subway station and about a 30 min walk to the White House. Staff were very friendly

Wifi didn’t reach to my floor (9th floor) which was pretty annoying being low on data

Shared space for a brief stay was seamless, assume private room will be up to par as well.

Great location, with convenient inservice dining options both AM/PM. Timely courteous common corridor/elevator use for capacity.

Good facility(nice interior, kind staff)

Location is so nice to reach every tourist destination by city bus. There was a Walgreen nearby, so I was able to buy whatever I needed.

This is not a problem with the accommodation, but the snoring noise of my fellow guests was very loud. I couldn't sleep well during 5 days.

I felt unwelcomed and insecure

There wasn't a microwave provided for the residents to heat their food. There isn't a water fountain or vending machines , There isn't continental breakfast brunch provided

Good value for money (dorm). But uncomfortable policies.

1. I liked the curtains because they provided privacy. The staff, especially the female ones, were very nice. 2. They responded promptly: when the A.C. went bad, making clanking noise during the first night I was at the dorm, the technician came almost immediately after I told the staff. Though it was not fixed that day, they later brought an A.C. to regulate the room temperature. 3. The location is great and not too far from restaurants.

I sponsored myself to a 4-day conference and had to be economical, so I stayed at the dorm. There are a few things I didn't like: 1. The hotel didn't indicate there would be no refrigerator in the dorm, even though the picture posted on the website had a fridge. I was quite disappointed to find that out. 2. On the third day of my stay, the only Microwave downstairs was taken away. That was spontaneous and even more disappointing as I had to trash the food I packed from a restaurant. 3. I didn't expect that a lady would join I and the guys in my room. It was unexpected and I think the dorms should be gendered. Better still, these info should be provided on the website. 4. The lighting in the room is very low, and I think purposely made only for sleeping. I had to use my phone light when I wanted to iron my clothes at night, for example.

Alojamiento super recomendado para relajarse y descansar luego de recorrer la ciudad todo el día.

El hostel superó mis expectativas. Las habitaciones y zonas comunes eran muy amplias y agradables. El personal fue muy amable y siempre estuvo dispuesto a ayudar. Cuenta con microondas. Me permitieron dejar mis valijas luego del check out. Altamente recomendado.

Hay que caminar algunas cuadras para llegar a las zonas de interés de la ciudad o a las paradas de subte.

Très bel hôtel mais peut être pas pour des voyageurs solos qui souhaitent rencontrer d’autres personnes

Possible d’accéder au attractions touristiques à pied (30mn) ou métro à proximité, la vue du dortoir et la décoration de l’hôtel

Le manque d’une cuisine accessible à tous, le non respect d’autres voyageurs et les femmes de ménages qui n’ont pas d’horaire précis et qui peuvent gêner le sommeil (8h)

Really nice hotel with cheaper options

Le Generator était bien différent des auberges que j'ai pu visiter car c'est en réalité un hôtel. Vous avez la même organisation et donc le même "standing" qu'un hôtel mais vous partager simplement une chambre avec 3 personnes. Cela était très appréciable également car le ménage est réalisé une fois par jour. Propreté au top, rideau qui permettent l'intimité.

Le seul bémol est qu'il n'y a aucun espace de cuisine/salle de repas. Donc pas vraiment de possibilité de ramener de la nourriture extérieure sauf en livraison sur les tables du hall. Certaines photos de l'annonce ne sont également pas à jour.

Muy cómodas las instalaciones y el personal. En especial Johanna e Ivonne me ayudaron mucho con recomendaciones. Sin dudas volveria.

Tal vez al ser un “hostel”porque tiene calidad de hotel . Le faltaría una heladera / cocina para guardar las cosas. Pero tiene inclusive un microondas y si necesitas algún plato o cubiertos para comer te prestan en el bufett.

Faux-glam hostel with broken systems that gave away my bed

Due to a system error between Booking and the hotel. I clearly booked for 2 days as indicated in my receipt but I was auto-checked out in 1 day without my knowledge. I went to access my room on the second day and my key didnt work. I asked for my key to be fixed and it eventually was. I said I hope you didnt give my bed away. They said don't worry. I went up and found sure enough there is an issue with the system/staff as they had given my bed to someone else and it was an awkward encounter. After going back down I was finally given a new bed after waiting around and I was quite tired by then. In the morning I was assured I only had to pay for one night, I said fine. But then I saw my receipt was for 2 nights. The person at the desk was not able to do anything and advised I contact the manager. There was definitely a system issue but the staff seemed to not be able to provide accurate info either. What a nightmare!

Waste of time, frustration, No sleep should have not came, those 3 months in the winter reevaulating

Evan is horrible and shouldn't be dealing with public, my head was bitten off, and she had the worse attitude all upon just trying to check in. I have stayed here over 44 times and this was the worse yet, total waste of money she didn't pay attention to request, she was so obnoxious that I didn't want to come back down and deal with her at all, so I dealt with whatever issues were in the room and had no sleep should have just stayed at the train station after the amount of rest I received, it was just bad karma bad energy and clearly when people are just trying to check in you should have a more people person she isn't and she ruined my trip so much that instead of extending or upgrading to a different room, I went to another hotel all together, she isn't someone I need to deal with it cost nothing to be nice to guest.

The instructions read and followed, nice staff memeber instead of the nazi women I got demanding my dln to be out of wallet, she isn't operating a nuclear power plant, she is handling people something she totally sucks at.

Best hostel I‘ve ever been to

I stayed in the shared female hostel-room which was very modern with a lot of space, a personal locker and a thick curtain to have privacy in your bed. There is a coffee place and a great bar/restaurant in the building. The lobby is nice and there is a pool and laundry rooms. The bedroom gets cleaned every morning and they give you a fresh towel. The metro station as well as a couple restaurants and bars are within a 10 minute walk

They only give you one big towel ( I just asked the cleaners if I can have a face towel too and that worked) There are no fridges in the shared rooms.

Location in a nice area, 10 min to metro, in house restaurant and cafe, and lounge areas, free luggage storage, staff always available and friendly, quiet rooms

No fan or ventilation in the bathroom, so in a 4 bed room for women, it became very humid and stuffy all night after everyone showered. The AC was on constantly and couldn't cool the room properly. Other than that, any other complaints are about the people you end up sharing the room with as is usually the case in shared rooms

Very good

The room was very nice and artistic. Clean and had a convenient restaurant in the lobby with a great seating area to relax and get work done. Refreshing lemon water in the lobby as well. Pool and gym were nice as well

Only thing I didn't like was having to pay $50 a day for parking.

Terrible mattress(es)

Check in person was very helpful. My card didn't work at first and she was able to fix it. Common areas of the hotel were comfortable and well designed. The pool looked nice but I didn't get a chance to swim. Great breakfast spot in the lobby.

I paid for a superior king and on their website it is described as having a king size bed. However, the mattress was actually two smaller mattresses pushed together which were worn differently so there was a big sink hole in the middle that I kept falling into all night. I did not get a good nights sleep and feel ripped off. If you're thinking of staying here, I would suggest a queen bed instead.
