Breakfast wasn't much to write home about but the room was quiet and clean. Would stay there again.

The breakfast was very good, as hotel fare goes. Plenty, hot, and variety. Bananas were a bit past their prime, but all other fruits and options were top notch.
The door to room 200 was fincky, requiring several passes before the lock fully disengaged and it was tight. Blackout curtains had tears that did not completely block out light from the truck stop next door. The wifi didn't connect right away, but was stable once connection made.

Bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were nice. Room was clean.
There was no internet. Lady at desk said it only worked on a phone, but internet always works on a phone unless you are in a signal desert. I needed to use my laptop. Breakfast lady shooed my husband away from the orange juice because it was a minute until 6. He explaned to her that he was diabetic and his sugar was too low (it was 64), but she told him she needed to finish her set up first. The eggs offered would have been great if they had not been over salted. I did find over salting to be a problem in most of northern Kansas however. HInt, you can always add salt but you can't take it away. Price of room was good as our hotel of choice was 100 more, but area was a bit run down. We left wishing we had sprung for the more expensive hotel. It was a wet gloomy day when we stopped and the lobby was even gloomer. Some lighting would have made it much more welcoming. The Mexican restaurant recommended should have come with a warning. We're from Denver where we have such good Mexican food and what we got was almost inedible. The only spice in it was salt and pepper and way too much of it. I know that's not the hotel's fault and people have different taste, but might be best not to recommend it. In fairness the front desk lady did suggest we go a few stops down the road for better places it eat, but we were exhausted from three days driving.
