Jody was very nice and saved the day for us. and was able to help us get into "a" room a bit before the 4pm check in time. The room was nice size, BUT it was on the second floor, but we had a room.
4 PM check-in is ridiculous, in itself. We are very early travelers and have stayed with Quality Inns many times. Usually, we have never had a problem with being allowed to check in early, but this time we were told, "You will probably have a 3 to 4 hour wait." We waited a little while and then I asked to speak with a manager just to check if any room might be cleaned already. As I mentioned, Jody, asst GM, helped us get into a room, however, I originally asked for the first floor and was told there were rooms cleaned on the second floor. We settled for the room on the second floor, and when we got there, it was in MIDDLE of the floor! No elevator, and so it was a long walk, back and forth, up and down stairs to bring our things in. NO screen on our patio door (all other rooms had screens). The refrigerator is SO small and the guards on the inside of the frig door to hold things in, were missing, so you couldn't put anything in there because they would fall out, when you opened the door. There definitely needs to be some upgrading done, at least in that room. ;-)

They got us connecting rooms, breakfast was better than we were expecting, beds were SUPER comfy, and room was clean.
The swing bar locks were falling off the doors, I had to mess with the cables on the back of one of the tvs to get the channels to work, and our little refrigerator was very loud in the middle of the night.

they charged me a fee for my service dog because they didn’t believe she was ada certified but she is and I have her paperwork. if we hadn’t already paid for the room we would have stayed somewhere else. so if you like having your rights violated stay here. also, the bathrooms smells like mildew. The sliding doors don’t work to the patio and the beds are very old mattresses that sag.

Close to excellent Sierra Mexican restaurant.
Room was extra large. Breakfast was great from which there were many items to choose.
Jacuzzi was not heated, so could not be used, along with pool.

when we thought there was no hot water to shower the staff told us it takes 15 minutes of running the water for it to get warm which is unheard of. also there wasn’t a temperature control for the heater it’s either on or off. meatless to stay we didn’t get the rest we were needing.

The stand of Ponderosa Pines in the courtyard of the north and east section were a special bonus! And Michelle, the 3-9 pm receptionist shared with me amazing photos captured on her phone of an elk herd in the parking lot who waited to cross the street until the signal changed. They then crossed patiently single file in the crosswalk!
The friendliness of the staff was very refreshing!
Internet connection was weak due to a lightening strike. But the staff invited us to come to the lobby where the signal was stronger to connect to a business zoom call.
