Room had mold growing on the walls. Wasn’t as advertised . Walk around in the room and stayed maybe 5 minutes and realized their was now way I would stay. Talked the the receptionist and she said they would have a talk with the (cleaning lady). The manager offered me a full refund but I still haven’t received it and it’s been over a 3 weeks. So no I didn’t have a good experience at all.

The staff members were friendly and the grounds were very nice. A large room with a remodeled bathroom was a great value.
The exterior needed some painting on several cottages and outbuildings. The location was away from downtown which required you to drive to other places of interest.

The grounds need to be maintained. Dead shrubs, empty pot, and weeds in all the beds. so sad, so much potential.

The breakfast is great. The Restaurant is amazing. The staff are very attentive.
The porches and patios could use some attention. Looks like it had been awhile since they have been cleaned and the leaves blown off. The grounds seem to have been neglected for sometime. It is a huge property though.

beautiful historic mansion and gardens. ms Mary’s French toast was amazing. Waite staff at both the 1818 restaurant and the Garden breakfast room were wonderful.

The property itself was absolutely gorgeous. Very serene very quiet.
The room we were given was very underwhelming. Very dated and did not fit the description very well. We only stayed one night so we just dealt with it. But would not recommend anything more than a night or two. I’m unsure what the other rooms or suites or like on the property.

I loved everything.

Excellent dinner and service. Beautiful walking paths and grounds.
Average breakfast with limited choices.
They left a small packet of Kleenex tissue in the bathroom instead of a box. Not appropriate for a $300 a night stay. Bathrooms wil need updated.

This place is like heaven on earth. Dinner is intimate and wonderful right on sight.
Well they need a new coffee maker. Everything else is superb.

The breakfast was delicious, but since we were there four mornings, we might have liked more variety. All of the staff was gracious and extremely polite and helpful. This is my second time staying here, and I would definitely come back for another.
