The room and bed were comfortable. Sundries were decent. The free breakfast was good. And the price was reasonable.
While I didn't have a need to use it at the time, the swimming pool was down. There's no access to a channel guide or a printed guide for watching TV. There's also no access to a premium channel like HBO. I've stayed at older, cheaper motels that offered both. I shouldn't be forced to sign up for a rewards program just to access wifi. The in-house pizza was way overpriced. A $6 pizza that you can buy from Walmart shouldn't cost $15 dollars. Even after labor costs, that same pizza could be sold for $12 at a profit. If you're paying more than that through a vendor, then find a cheaper vendor or localize each location by buying your food products in town. The only USB connection to charge my phone was on the back of the TV. My phone requires a quick charger. So I had to turn off my phone to let it charge. Again, older motels offer modernized options. Finally, I wasn't able to reposition my shower head. So I pretty much had to stand at the very back of the shower to keep the water from hitting my head the whole time. Improving these issues would only cost a few dollars more per night for occupants. I'd be willing to pay an extra $5 to have these improvements. I'm still willing to stay at Americinn because of the price and amenities that I'm happy with. However, I don't like having to bring my own resources in to compensate for the shortcomings.

We travelled with 2 small puppies. The front desk was professional during check in. There was clean green space for letting to puppies outside.
Nothing.

Location was good
Room was so humid EVERYTHING felt WET! If I had to guess... probably 100% relative humidity in the room. Even the sheets, the clothes in my duffel bag, towels didn't dry... and i had the ac on to help pull humidity out of the air.
Prices across fargo were jacked up for the street fair weekend making it harder for these events to continue. Most people attending the event to shop are local. The jacked up hotel costs mostly affect the vendors who are usually very small businesses.
The facility was OLD for what we paid.
