The location by the river is stunning, with opportunity to see lots of wildlife. Bedroom and bed was a really good size
We were told to check ourselves in, so no meet and greet by the owners, which would've been nice and was expected. The vibe was strange when we arrived (older guests blocking footpath with their chairs, not saying hello). The owners also seem to encourage fires by the river, which we didn't appreciate as this created lots of smoke from people using wet brashwood, which then scared away the wildlife. Others may like having fires of course!
The attention to detail in the apartment unfortunately wasn't what we expected - cups and cutlery from Amazon for example. Also be aware that the apartments are all attached, so there is limited privacy.
We also requested to pay our balance using a different credit card (a joint account) which initially the owners agreed to and then without warning took the payment using the original card, saying they forgot.

Everything was great except around 10pm our last night we woke up to a lot of noise like banging noises next to us and no one else was staying at the property. So we assume the owners were cleaning up in the garage next to us?? Not sure why this was done late at night when guests are staying there.
The loud banging noises we heard our last night was not pleasant. We woke up to the noise. There was no one else staying at the property so not sure emergency what was going on.

Great location for the beaches and super
Comfortable! The view from the room was amazing and the entire property was so peaceful with wonderful hosts! Everything you need for cooking is in the kitchen! Bird watching was wonderful from the comfort of the room and around the property!

Absolutely beautiful location right on river’s edge. Ample parking and easy to find. This property is absolutely pristine. Owners are meticulous about every aspect. Cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Very well equipped so much so that you really don’t need to leave. Perfect for families… especially larger ones. (We are a family of 6). Super quiet and felt like a cabin in the woods. The only downside to our trip is that we are moving and can’t go back in every season. 100% would recommend! Great jumping off point to HOH rainforest and Olympic Peninsula.

Remote location on beautiful confluence of rivers. Watched elk, bald eagles, hummingbirds. Fished from the river bank. Soaked in the tranquil carefully maniqured gardens and forest trails. This place just hit different.
Its remote, services, including cellular are limited. its that a bonus? you tell me.

We have never stayed at a more exceptional resort. First...location. Right on the banks of the Bogachiel River and only a few miles to Rialto Beach. River sounds to lull you to sleep and a feast of hummingbirds outside your front window eating throughout the day. Second...amenities. The owners of this resort have left no stone unturned. The well appointed kitchen has everything you might forget to pack located there...spices, coffee, filters, cookware...everything you need to dine in. On top of that, they provide everything you need to barbecue outside your suite and comfortable chairs for viewing the river while you cook. The beds are as comfortable as ours at home, and it took us years to find our mattresses! The owners themselves are delightful, and their communication was excellent. Also, their check in instructions were so clear and thorough! This will be one of the most beautiful, peaceful places you can stay to visit the Olympic Peninsula.
Honestly, we loved everything.
