I was going to arrive after 1000pm. I called to let the owners know of my situation and they informed me that it was OK and the husband will stay up and wait for me. I arrived at 1030pm and the husband was at the door with the room key for me. To be honest when I pulled into the driveway I was skeptical. Big barn with attached house didn't seem like a comfortable place to stay.. When we entered the room, holy cow wasn't I impressed. The room was wide open and had that country like setting. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Also, I loved the history book with pictures of how this place has grown from what it was. This was in the room. Very interesting stuff.....We were not able to enjoy the outside as we had an event to be at at 730am the following morning. But from the little time and experience we had there I would highly recommend this place. We are planning a weekend this summer at this place so we can enjoy more of what it has to offer..

In a great location, not in a noisy area. It was very calming. Very little area traffic. The owner was very personable and friendly. We stayed in the Acadia room and it was absolutely great. Very homey. There was enough room to move around. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. This inn is my new go to when we go to visit my grandson! ❤️❤️❤️

I truly enjoyed my stay at Boardwalk Inn. Facilities are homey and very tasteful. I was greeted at the door and invited in like family. Both my requests were answered promptly (a USB cord cube and decaf k cups) can't think of any place I'd rather stay in Rumford.

The owners were very welcoming right from the start, we arrived 3 hours early and were able to accommodate us for early check in. Once we saw our room we knew we would be very happy. It was much larger than we were expecting and the bed was VERY comfy. We will absolutely be staying here again!

The owner was extremely accommodating regarding my dining preferences. She purchased vegan food just for me! She was very sweet.
The Wi-Fi network could have been faster. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

The owners are super-friendly and so easy to work with. The rooms are huge and very comfortable, with a nice area for storing food or making microwave items. The TV was a little hard to manage at first, but the owner came right away to help us get it working.
There is nothing we didn't like. The tv could have been easier to operate, but the owner helped us figure it out right away, so that was not an issue, really.

Bathroom fan needs a clean. Took a bit to get hot water in bath sink. Came faster when turning on the tub.

at times the wifi was hesitant so i used my cell hotspot
Overall I loved the location, the hosts, the open room. my only complaint would be the lighting. The main room, although it had numerous fixtures, was gloomy, and the bathroom / shower was the same. Once you pulled the shower curtain you were pretty much in the shadows, and shaving was not real precise with the available lighting. Other than the lighting issues I was pleasantly surprised with my very open room. I will come back for future visits even with the lighting.

Everything very clean and comfortable, friendly owners, a great place to stay.
The only reason we didn't give a 10 rating was because there was no continental breakfast provided even though it's in the advertised listing. Other than that, a very good choice for a night in your travels.

Place was very quiet and comfortable, albeit it was off-season when we stayed. The room was very large and nice and well equipped. The bed was particularly comfortable. The staff (owners) were very pleasant and accomodating.
Wanted to check in with the staff to ask a few questions about the area, but they apparently slept late the morning we checked out, so we did not get a chance. Also, very limited facilities to throw away trash. Just one very small trash can for a very large room.

Excellent lodging! The owners are great people, they were very accomodating to our late arrival. We be staying there again. Very close to town, and to Black Mountain. The room we rented was large, the beds are clean and comfortable.
The toilet was running for a little while after being flushed.

The staff was wonderful and the rooms were perfect for our weekend stay in Rumford. We would definitely consider staying here again next time we are in the area!
