Beautiful setting atop a hill. Quaint location.

Location a few km/12 mins drive out of town was perfect. The whole setting is extremely tranquil, especially compared to the insane crowds in Sintra. Good selection of markets/restaurants/beaches nearby in the other direction. Beautifully restored old buildings, verdant gardens, and distant views of the sea. Room simply and tastefully decorated, augmented by a generously sized and equipped eat in kitchen. There was no breakfast (some past posts are out of date) but kitchen was extremely well stocked with mostly homemade makings of breakfast.
Room was a little dark, though thats what you get with ancient 2 ft thick walls

The host met us and showed us around. The 2 bedroomed apartment was perfect with a balcony providing wonderful countryside views and a large living/ dining/ kitchen area. The kitchen contained everything you could need, including, in the fridge, fruit juice, water, milk and a bottle of wine, amongst other things! There was a bowl of fresh fruit and tomatoes. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was free wi-fi.
Although a couple of kilometres out of Sintra, ubers were plentiful and arrived in between 5 and 10 minutes.
There was no TV, but if there had been, I doubt we would have watched anything.

We knew before we stayed, but you really need a car if you stay here.
The location with lovely views and walks was excellent
Host could have been more clear about how and when to pay the tourist tax. We just left the money on the table.

Really nice location, with great views, on the touristic bus route that travels around Sintras Places/Castles.
Originally Booked the stay before Covid, so had to cancel. Rebooked, but seems the owners had changed. No longer any home-grown foods or meals (no B/Fast either). Host a but cold.

Backyard has a beautiful view, it’s perfect for my family where we can unwind. we love it so much we want to come back again.

Wonderful position (you’ll need a car to stay here) Beautiful outlook and comfortable, clean accommodation
Self catering facilities were simple. However, items missing were provided quickly on request, so not a problem.

Great country house with beautiful view of the valley below. Got to see a few fantastic sunsets from the patio while sipping on a glass of wine.
Our room was large and confortable with a large bathroom.
Breakfast was amazing, to much food. There was diferent breads, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh fruit, juices, pastries, cakes, cereals and so much more.
One drawback we were there during a heat wave and no airconditioning
Parking is a little sketchy, there are only a few spots up by the entrance, the rest are down a narrow road that leads to a field. The road is a two way, but only room for one?

Breakfast was fantastic and the host was lovely, helpful and a wonderful host.
No fan or aircon, could have done with a small fan for the summer months.

The breakfast was excellent. Sitting outsite and having a great view to the ozean. The location was generously and we could sit in the wounderful garden with a nice view to the surrounding.

You have to be a confident driver to handle the windy , narrow -ish approach roads.

The location was amazing, getting to the beach or to the castles in Sintra was very accessible. The garden is beautiful and Alex is so friendly!
Due to the lack of bathroom ventilation, it would have been nice to have new towels as they remained damp.

Room was great with tremendous views, it was larger than expected and had a great shower, just watch your head if you're tall entering the bathroom ;)! Breakfast couldn't have been nicer and food was excellent as well as our host and his music!

Beautiful building and location. Peaceful and quiet and excellently located for visiting sintra and the surrounding beaches. Great breakfast and friendly hosts.

the house is beautiful and very peaceful with gorgeous sunset views. breakfast was delicious and the tomato jam amazing!
I would have loved to get some tips on how to visit sintra. it’s not a straightforward one and input from someone local would have been gold.
